Terra Gen Threat

As of today, Terra-Gen has signed 74 properties with a total of 14,667.28 acres for “Wind Energy Site lease and Renewable Energy Development Agreements” across Warren-Stark-Columbia-Danube-German Flatts.

The threat is very much still alive and beating as can be see by the growth in acreage under lease. Terra-Gen has entered into purchase agreements in certain agreements, while the rest are straightforward leases.

Is Rural New York GONE WITH THE WIND?

Two 5-megawatt wind turbines, each over half the height of the Empire State Building, have been proposed on rural property in the towns of Stark and Springfield. As of 9/16/24, New Leaf Energy has withdrawn their permit application to the Town Board for construction of a two giant turbines that were to be located on Sickler Road in the Town of Stark. However, there is a threat by Terra Gen company of hundreds wind turbines and acres of solar panels fields in the area. This would impact all surrounding communities (Springfield, Jordanville, Van Hornesville, Warren, Richfield Springs, German Flats). Thanks to all supporters for this victory!
