Conserve Our AgriCultural Heritage (COACH) Group is a community group which was started in order to raising awareness among our families, friends and neighbors about proposed New Leaf Energy project in the Town of Stark to construct industrial wind turbines in our historical countryside, and to inform everyone of how they can make their voices heard to protect our community. This proposal puts rural communities and the environment at risk in pursuit of an inefficient, costly, and ideologically-driven energy agenda that has failed wherever attempted.

Our mission is to educate communities and landowners about the hazards of renewable energy in our area and to preserve this historical countryside and its natural resources.

Our area (Town of Stark, Springfield, Van Hornesville, Jordanville, Warren, Richfield Springs) is now under threat of industrial wind turbines!

Our community will be devastated by this development. The national historical site Holy Trinity Monastery is under threat. Our rural economy is under threat. Our tourist economy under threat. Our real estate under threat. Our health and health of our children is under threat. Our history, archaeology, wildlife and community are under threat. Our environment will be destroyed. We cannot allow wind turbines to desecrate this iconic landscape.

This website has been set up to provide information and resources for everyone to use.

Wind turbines kill wildlife, fragment habitat, hurt property values, and require huge subsidies to make very little energy.

No large economy is powered by wind and solar. New Yorkers deserve reliable energy.

Say “NO” to New Leaf Wind.

Say “NO” to New York’s intrusive energy plan.
