Petition to Reject New Leaf Wind Project

Bishop Luke has made the following statement regarding proposed Wind Turbine Project in Stark.

Resolution of the Clergy of the Northern Deaneries of the Eastern American Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR) 

Having gathered in Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, New York, for the Lenten retreat and conference of the clergy of the Northern Deaneries of the Eastern American Diocese, we, clergy and monastics, have bowed down in worship before the Cross and raised up our prayers for the flock entrusted to us. and for the struggle Holy Trinity Monastery is currently engaged in against the Stark -New Leaf Wind Turbine project. We have heard the report of the ongoing process and wish to make the following statement.
We are very concerned and disappointed in the lack of foresight and planning that has gone into this project’s planning process. New Leaf Energy has failed to respect and address the
concerns of both the local communities and the monastery in this matter. (click on the file to read more)
