New Leaf Energy has withdrawn their permit application to the Town Board for construction of a two turbine community wind project that was to be located on Sickler Road in the Town of Stark. Thanks to the prayers and assistance of all involved.

Two 5-megawatt wind turbines, each over half the height of the Empire State Building, have been proposed on rural property in the towns of Stark and Springfield. The project impacts all surrounding communities (Springfield, Jordanville, Van Hornesville, Warren, Richfield Springs). There is a threat of hundreds wind turbines in the area.
